| Deichmannske media station |

This projects goal is to design, develop and produce five media stations for the main library of the Deichmannske public library in Oslo. The project is a collaboration between OCEAN, the HFG Offenbach and the Oslo School of Architecture. The development of the pods is done by the students from both schools under supervision of professor Achim Menges from HFG Offenbach and OCEAN member and Professor Birger Sevaldson from AHO and OCEAN member. OCEAN was represented especially by the supervision of Michael Hensel. The project is done in close co-operation with the customer represented by project leader Reiner Mithassel from Deichmannske Library. The project tests distant collaboration, digital production and new material technology by using 3D textiles as distance material. The plugs were manufactured by the five axis cnc mill at HFG Offenbach The production is hosted and supervised by the professional boat building company YNOR in Kragerø Norway, by director Ronny Andresen.
